The Opened World
Northern Empire
For the glory of the Empire, and its Empress Jakabosa, those of the Northern Empire issue forth from the citadels of Narathet to the ends of Alatha. Marked by a sturdy and modern optimism, no doubt bolstered by its rapid rise to power and expansion, the Northern Empire is a model of order and efficiency.

Order Of Precedence:
The Empire highly values order and efficiency, with each person identifiable within a hierarchy. The hierarchy is referred to Order of Precedence, with each lower rank answering to the rank above as shown below. There are two categories of hierarchy or precedence, referred to as Dignities of House and Dignities of Office. Dignities of office are earned through advancement in ranks of service to the Empire. Dignities of House are inherited or bestowed based on nobility, peerage, bloodlines, and affiliation with the Great Houses. For those of comparable rank in differing branches, length of service is used to determine deference, with Dignity of House sometimes adding advantage. Furthermore, service to the Empire grants one citizenship. Those who are not citizens are answerable to citizens, who are nominally tasked with their protection. Even within the domain of an individual citizen’s home, the citizen owner is viewed as a representative of the hierarchy, referred to as Domina or Dominus by those below them.
Each region of the empire is ruled by an Exarch who answers only to the Empress herself. The Exarch is the head of the administrative arm which provides all governance for that region. They work in tandem with the military arm and the religious arm, which function similarly in hierarchy with the head of each answering to the Empress
The Imperial Military is divided into nine armies, each representing and focusing on one Aygeema. As such, each army has a slightly different feel to it. Unlike the Tarabolis Protectorate, the Imperial army makes heavy use of organized spellcasting forces in its divisions.
The Clergy are a part of the Temple Conglomerate, together with the members from the regions governed by the Council. Clergy may or may not be trained as a priest depending on function and duties.

Attitudes: Those from the Northern Empire are seen as stoic, valuing order and cleanliness very highly, self-reliant, strong willed, and disciplined. They may also be glory hungry, slightly vain, controlling, or uptight. Those from Sadina tend to be more morose, brooding, cynical, and dark.
