The Great Trials of Penthodikastrion, also known as the Penthodikastria, are the judgements and proceedings at the end of the Great War. The destruction of two-thirds of the Remnant population, disruption of the elemental balance, and shattering of the land due to the events of the civil war and The Rupture led the remaining Remnant population into exodus. Crossing the ocean and settling in the cave cities of Duskolis, the establishment of a new Remnant society began with judgement against the defeated Zoarchs. A tribunal was set up in the largest of the settlements, christened Penthodikastrion, and the Zoarchs were charged with crimes against the gods, the planet, and life. They were stripped of their powers by the primarch God King and many were put to the death. All known records of their practices at the time were taken back through an Eye of the Life Cycle into the plane of Tehsh itself by the head Zoarch Bidos who now manifests as an avatar of the death of innocents.
